Hi! I am Wei.

Product design engineer and business strategist 🌍

I am a generalist who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. Since graduating from MIT with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Entrepreneurship, I have gravitated toward projects involving consumer hardware, product development, manufacturing… I have experiences identifying problems, figuring out what customers want, bringing solution to market (0-1, 1-10, 10-100, 100-100,000 units), and managing my own schedule and budget. Having worked at pre-seed to Series D startups (and public companies), I have gotten to wear many hats.

Current

I work at Lumafield. Empowering manufacturing customers with industrial X-ray CT technology.

Outside of work, I like to travel (Korea, most recently), eat (Boston Food Secret), and play table tennis.

Previous

I spent my first 10 years in China, then 8y in New York City, and have been in Boston ever since. Check out my journey.

Since college, I have spent 5 years working at VC backed startups and a public company in Boston. I learned a lot here about how high functioning teams are run and what successful product development programs look like.
